CHURCH SCHOOL- Church School is a place where questions are encouraged, not a place where doctrine is dictated. HOST FELLOWSHIP — Please consider hosting fellowship after worship. It’s a great way to share and visit with everyone. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board. Provide drinks and light refreshments. There’s fair trade coffee in the kitchen. Questions? Talk with Denise Williams.
YOUNG PEOPLE AT LAKEWOOD– Children and young people are most welcome at Lakewood UCC. All children participate in the beginning of the worship service. Generally, elementary age children and younger participate in Children’s Time in the service. After Children’s Time, elementary age children go to Church School taught by Melanie Moore and Chip Cosper using the curriculum from the Center for Progressive Christianity. Preschool children, toddlers, and infants are welcome in the Nursery under the care and supervision of Claudia Rodriguez. Middle and High School students participate in the service on Sunday mornings and attend the youth group at Pass-a-Grille Beach Community United Church of Christ Sunday evenings. Children and young people are an integral part of this church family and the intergenerational relationships that form in this small congregation are truly a blessing!
