Volunteers Needed at Cold Night Shelters

The recent cold weather has meant that the cold weather shelters have been in use several nights this past week. Unfortunately, the need for assistance is still continuing. Without the cold night shelters, many individuals and families do not have a place to go when it is bitter cold outside. In order to keep offering these places, volunteers are needed!

Below you will find a list of some shelter locations. The locations with the greatest need for volunteers is at Northwest Presbyterian Church in St. Pete and the Boys and Girls Club in Pinellas Park. Shifts are typically 4 hours in duration. Duties include registering guests, preparing meals, serving meals, handing out blankets/mats, and serving as a shelter monitor during the evening hours. Training is on-site-just show up and you will be partnered with an experienced volunteer. Adult volunteers only.
