This Sunday: Palm Sunday
The service begins outside around the cross with the blessing of the palms and a processional into the sanctuary. Please bring a palm branch if you can.
Advisors: Advisors will meet at 11:30 this Sunday April 14, all are welcome to attend.
Easter Eggs: Please bring filled plastic Easter eggs to church for the Easter egg hunt. You may put the eggs in the designated box in the Sanctuary. Donations accepted until Easter!
Easter Flower Orders: You are invited to order Easter flowers to beautify the Sanctuary on Easter Sunday. The order forms are available at the church. You may also place an order by emailing the Church Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for orders is this Sunday April 14.
HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
Maundy Thursday April 18 7:00 p.m.
Service of Tennebrae and communion. This service will include a remembrance of the last day of Jesus’ life as portrayed in the Gospel. This includes Jesus’ last supper with his disciples which is commemorated in the sacrament of holy communion. This will be a beautiful, contemplative service.
Good Friday April 19 Noon
On Good Friday at noon, there will be a remembrance of the life of Jesus. Those who participate will join together in an oral reading of a gospel followed by the sharing of words of remembrance. It is a time to honor Jesus by not only remembering his death but by remembering his life. This ritual of remembrance will last at least 2 hours.
Easter Sunday April 21 10:30 a.m.
Join in an intergenerational festival service celebrating new life and hope. All ages welcome! The service will include communion.
There will be refreshments and an Easter Egg hunt on the church grounds following the service.

Earth Day: April 13th from 10am to 5pm St. Petersburg will celebrate Earth Day with a community celebration in Historic Williams Park (350 2nd Ave N). Earth Day is celebrated by over a billion people in hundreds of countries around the globe. Concerts Sunday: Burt and Joyce Lee of LUCC will be performing in the Saint John Passion (by Bob Chilcott) concert on the 14th of April at 5:00 pm at The Cathedral Church of St Peter.April 14, 2019.
Tampa Oratorio Singers at 6:30 p.m. Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. Duruflé’s Requiem uses Gregorian chant to fashion the melodies of his most famous work. This concert features masterworks of Duruflé, Fauré and Vierne, with orchestral ensemble. Claire Stiles is able to get half priced tickets please contact if interested.
Earth Sunday April 28 – Request for Resources: The theme for Earth Sunday will be The Voice of Nature. Quotes from article, books, poems, or the Bible that represent the voice of nature are needed. Theological Orientation Discussion: After a very interesting presentation about the use of the title Christ in the New Testament, the group will continue the focus on the word/concept Christ at the next session. The next gathering will also be led by Dr. Robert “Coke” Coughenour. It will bring us from the New Testament to Richard Rohr’s latest book, The Universal Christ: How A Forgotten Reality Can Change Everything We See, Hope for, and Believe.
