Today was the 57th anniversary of the founding of the United Church of Christ. This morning’s service celebrated the United Church of Christ and its ministry. Summer Sundays, begun last week, continued with singing of favorite hymns requested by the congregation and a more informal worship service.

Special music this morning was provided by soprano Samantha Wassmer, a student from the studio of Nancy Garma of Tampa. Samantha recently graduated from St. Petersburg High School and will be attending Stanford University in the fall. At this morning’s service she performed Puccini’s Oh! mio babbino caro and Come and Trip It by George Frideric Handel. |
