It’s Time for the Harvest

Each year at Lakewood United Church of Christ, the church family is asked to fill out a Harvest form. This is a way to celebrate the many ministries that the congregation is involved in; spreading the love of Jesus.
The form asks for the number of hours volunteered in the past year, the amount of money donated in the past year, and a list of organizations, institutions, and people that have been helped. The forms are not audited, so no need to be absolutely accurate!
Once the forms are received, the hours are tallied up and the money is added up, and a big list is made of all the ways that the church is active in the community. Then the results are announced in church, this year on Sunday Nov. 12, Stewardship Sunday.
The forms are available for download HERE as well as at church. They were also sent out with the Stewardship mailing. Please return forms to the church on paper or by email (lakewooducc@gmail.com) by Wednesday Nov. 8.
What we do with our time and money all year long is a testimony to our Christian commitment and compassion. “Since, then, we have such a hope, we act with great boldness.” 2 Corinthians 3:12

There will be an in person congregational meeting on Sunday Oct. 22, 2023 following worship to take action on proposed revisions to the church Constitution and By Laws.
