    1. Thanks for alerting me. It seems to be working all the way to the end now. I’m not sure what was causing the problem. My guess is the website’s server had a momentary problem.

      1. Hilton – I tried again and this time it played till 5 minutes and i think it was 14 sec and then stopped. The good news for me is that the sermons seem to be downloadable and they seem to be running the full length. I’m up to about 9 min and 14 seconds and is going strong. Thanks for looking into it for me.

      2. Jerry, I’ve been working with godaddy. The problem according to them is that any fluctuation in the internet connectivity can upset playing the file directly from the link, which is how I have it set up. Their suggestion is that I install a media player on the site itself, so the player buffers the content, insuring uninterrupted playback.

Yes, downloading the file will always work perfectly because there’s not going to be an internet between the file and your computer–it’ll be self contained But…I want to try and get this solved. I’m experimenting now with different media players that will integrate with our site.

        Wish me luck…

  1. I had tried 3 times (testing different settings, disabling etc..) and it stopped at 11:55 each time. At 8:29 pm I just refreshed the website and am replaying (started a little bit before 11:55 as I did before) and now it’s continuing on. I’ll let you know if it finishes to the end.

  2. I’ve spent a considerable bit of time with our hosting service and the problems playing mp3 files from links (in the browser and not downloading) comes from having a momentary interruption in the internet connection anywhere between the server and the user’s computer. The file will stop playing at that point even though the interruption may not be noticeable, visually. I’m working to find a way to buffer the file to smooth over any connectivity issues. In the meantime, the most surefire way to play the podcasts is to download them. I’ve provided instructions on each podcast as to how to do that. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully, I will find a solution.
