Midweek Hymn: Let the Lower Lights Be Burning

When I was a little kid, we didn’t have a TV and my parents would play music while I fell asleep on the couch, my mom, the violin, my father the piano. This was one of the hymns I remember them playing. It must have been from their parents’ generation it’s so old. You can find the words, which are very touching, at https://hymnary.org/text/brightly_beams_our_fathers_mercy.
