Weekly Update 5.21.26

THIS SUNDAY:

Pentecost!  The Sunday to celebrate the empowerment of the church.  And the Sunday to wear red.  There will be streamers and noise makers and flames!  In the story from Acts we are told that everyone heard in their own language.  We’ll talk about what that might mean today.  Take a look at the second chapter of Acts.
After church:  Time to dig out the drainage trench by the playground so that the water from the rainstorms can drain away from the building and not into the building.  The dirt will be taken to a lower portion of the property out by 54th Ave. S.  Bring a shovel if you can.
Worship begins at 10:30. Childcare is provided.

Pastor Away
Rev. Wells will be away from Tuesday May 26 until Saturday May 29.  If pastoral care is needed, please contact Patti Cooksey at cooksepa@eckerd.edu

Summer Sundays Ahead
Summer Sundays will begin Sunday May 31.  Services will be a bit more relaxed and we’ll sing hymn requests each week.

Monetary donations to help supplement their needs may be made at the following link: https://www.neighborly.org/donations
