Ban Assault Weapons Amendment

Ban Assault Weapons NOW is a grassroots-powered movement of passionate Floridians, survivors and families who have lost loved ones to gun violence.

We’re committed to doing what our politicians have refused to do: take action and ban assault weapons once and for all. BAWN is leading the charge to put an amendment on the ballot in 2020 and allow Florida voters to constitutionally ban assault weapons.

Now, after crossing every “T” and dotting every “I,” our proposed amendment to Florida’s Constitution has been approved! This is a major step for our movement, and I’m so excited to share this news with you.

With our amendment officially approved, the next phase begins: collecting the 766,200 signatures we need to get it on the ballot in 2020.

Please, take one moment to learn more about why BAWN’s mission is so important to families affected by gun violence and how you can help us collect the signatures we need to constitutionally ban assault weapons by visiting the bawnfl website.
