High energy — winds, enthusiastic participants, and responsive passersby — typified the September 20 Anti-Racism Demonstration.
After stormy weather cancellations on August 30 and September 6, and a 4-participant event in gentle rain on September 13th, this gathering drew 18 demonstrators from LUCC, Quaker Meeting and others.
The Black Lives Matter and Peace and Justice Demonstration continues on 54th Ave South each Sunday evening. This is an important way to inspire hope in the community and to work to create an anti-racist society. Thank you to all those who came and joined last Sunday evening.
All are welcome Sunday evenings. Please note that in September the new time is 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the church. In case of rain, the demonstration will not be held that week. Know justice, know peace!
