PRELUDE
CALL TO WORSHIP Lavon Baylor
God is gracious and merciful and trustworthy.
Let us join voices in giving thanks.
The works of God are all around us.
We are called to faithfulness, as God is faithful.
We are a people of the covenant, gathered to please God.
Holy and awesome is God’s name.
Come, then, as wise and faithful people.
Come, as a beloved community of the redeemed.
We reach out to a God who remembers and cares for us.
MUSICAL REFLECTION
SCRIPTURE READING
Let us prepare ourselves for the word of God as it comes to us in the reading of Holy Scripture. Our hearts and minds are open.
Ephesians 5.15-20
For the word of God in scripture, for the word of God among us, for the word of God within us. Thanks be to God.
SERMON A text from Paul, pun intended Rev. Victoria Long
UNISON READING A paraphrased Reminder from Psalm 150
Hallelujah!
Praise God in God’s holy house of worship,
praise our Creator under the open skies;
Praise the Provider for acts of power,
praise the Divine for magnificent greatness;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
praise by strumming soft strings;
Praise the Divine Author with castanets and dance,
praise with banjo and flute;
Praise with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
Hallelujah!

Holy One, in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kin-dom, come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins

Save us from the time of trial

For the kin-dom, the power, and the glory are yours
