Dog Day of Summer greetings, Florida UCC members:

Here is the link to the July/August/September issue of Celebrate Florida.

Celebrate Florida has gone from being a bi-monthly publication to a quarterly newsletter, this issue being the second one in the new schedule. The other change in regular Conference communications has been the introduction of the weekly Wednesday Sunshine Connection, which has replaced the bi-weekly e-blast. You may subscribe to it here.

Articles in this issue which may be of particular interest:

+ We Are All Ukrainians: An Update (pp.1-3)

+ Just Peace in a Southern Context virtual event (p. 4)

+ “Good-bye, Farewell and Amen” (pp. 7-9)

+ Earth Day 2022 Revisited (pp. 12-13)

+ On the Importance of Play (p. 13) and Summer Time Invitation (p. 35)

+ Visibility (pp. 14-15)

+ UCC Southern Regional Women’s Retreat (p. 18)

+ Gun Violence: Is This Time Different? (pp. 22-23)

+ June is PRIDE Month (pp. 32-33)

+ Youth Ministries (pp. 40-41)

Need a dose of inspiration? How about some creative ideas? As always, the issue contains lots of links to helpful resources and programming ideas you may wish to consider adopting or adapting in your own congregation. If we’ve not been hearing from you, please make sure we’re on the mailing list for your newsletter and e-blasts (rickcarson1@gmail.com) — simple and much appreciated. We especially welcome your providing the Celebrate Florida link (https://www.uccfla.org/celebrateflorida) to church members via your newsletters, e-communications and on your website.

Post-solstice blessings,

Rick Carson, Editor
